I first heard of the Slum2School initiative last year and wondered how I could be involved in such a life-changing project. Once I found out about the event happening on the 27th, I knew I had to go. Upon arrival, I was asked by the founder Otto Orondaam to lend my voice by singing the Nigerian National Anthem to start the proceedings. What an honor. The event was well attended with a number of presentations made to the volunteers as well as presentations made by the students to honor the founding members and board of directors.
